May is Teacher Appreciation Month! Teachers and staff at our six charter schools enjoyed breakfast, lunches, and sweet notes of thanks from parents and students. We are grateful for our incredible educators every day of the year.

A huge shout-out to Kathryn Locke-Jones, Hampstead Hill Academy middle school teacher, for being named one of three finalists for the 2023 Baltimore City Schools Teacher of the Year. In 2019, Ms. Locke-Jones, a Teach for America alumna, received Teach for America’s Kennedy Leadership Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Check out the photos of our teachers doing what they do best: helping every student succeed and thrive!

We create safe, supportive learning environments for children PK-8 by providing innovative, research-based educational strategies, intensive teacher training and extensive support for administration and staff. We support our local neighborhood needs by tailoring our resources and support through community partnerships.

As one of the longest-running charter operators in Maryland, our schools are regularly recognized as some of the most highly acclaimed neighborhood charter schools in the state.
