The Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP) schools kicked off the 2025–2026 school year with a series of joyful back-to-school celebrations this August. These events gave families the chance to meet teachers, explore classrooms, gather resources, and start the year with community pride.

City Springs Elementary/Middle School set the tone with a festive Back-to-School Bash on August 16. Families enjoyed food, music by DJ Vertex, visits from the Orioles’ Bird and Ravens’ Poe, free haircuts, school supplies, and backpacks. Thanks to CBRE, families also received laundry detergent. The event was made possible by Elev8 Baltimore and many community partners.

Frederick Elementary School hosted its Back-to-School Jam on August 23. The celebration featured food, activities, and resources like free haircuts, backpacks, and school supplies. Community partners included the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development, Bon Secours Community Works, and The Food Project.

Govans Elementary School welcomed families on August 22 for a Peek at Your Seat event. Students met their teachers, explored classrooms, and received free uniform shirts, gently used uniforms, and backpacks. Families also learned about after-school activities and volunteer opportunities.

Hampstead Hill Academy held a New Family Welcome Party on August 16 and a Meet Your Teacher Open House on August 22. Families enjoyed meeting teachers, exploring classrooms, and school tours, along with visits from the Orioles’ Bird and Ravens’ Poe. Uniforms were also available for families.

Pimlico Elementary/Middle School celebrated with a lively Back-to-School Jam on August 21. The event included backpacks and supplies from community partners, plus fun activities like pony rides, games, and a climbing wall. Partners included B’more for Healthy Babies, Turnaround Tuesday, the Baltimore Sheriff’s Office, and the Mayor’s Office of Children & Family Success.

Wolfe Street Academy welcomed Pre-K and Kindergarten families on August 20 and hosted a Meet Your Teacher Open House on August 22. Families connected with staff, toured classrooms, and picked up free school supplies and backpacks. The event was made possible by Elev8 Baltimore and other community partners.

From open houses to bashes and jams, these events highlighted the strong partnerships between BCP schools, families, and community organizations. With so much excitement and support, the 2025–2026 school year is off to an inspiring start.
