As we enter this season of gratitude and generosity, Giving Tuesday, Dec 2, 2025, offers a meaningful opportunity to give back and make a difference in our city. At the Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP), every donation, big or small, helps strengthen our neighborhood charter schools and support the students, teachers, and communities we serve.

When you give to BCP, you’re not just donating, you’re investing in Baltimore’s children, their schools, and their future. We invite you to share in the spirit of giving and help us continue the work that changes lives every day.

The Broader Impact of Giving to BCP

Your gift to BCP fuels programs that go beyond the classroom, building brighter futures for 3,000+ school children across Baltimore and their families. Whether supporting innovation, investing in educators, or improving school spaces, your generosity helps every student thrive.

Because BCP schools are statewide and nationally recognized community school models, your gift also impacts the Baltimore neighborhoods in which our schools are located. Our comprehensive programs and partnerships with each BCP school’s community agency meet families’ needs from food to mental health services.

Ways to Give

The Muriel Berkeley Innovation Fund

Dr. Muriel Berkely (center) at Hampstead Hill Academy.

As BCP celebrates 30 years of serving Baltimore’s students, we invite you to honor this milestone by giving $30 for 30 years in support of the Muriel Berkeley Innovation Fund.

Established in 2016 to honor our founder, Dr. Muriel Berkeley, this fund ensures BCP’s continued leadership in educational innovation. It allows us to pilot bold ideas, conduct research, and share best practices that strengthen schools across the city.

A current example is our new attendance strategy for the 2025–2026 school year, supported by the Abell and Richman Foundations. A lead attendance monitor will work across all six BCP schools to reduce chronic absenteeism through a data-driven approach. At year’s end, we’ll share our findings to help all Baltimore schools improve attendance.

Your $30 gift, or any amount you choose, powers this kind of forward-thinking work and helps us continue building the future of public education in Baltimore. Together, we can ensure that every child has access to a great neighborhood school for the next 30 years and beyond.

Give to the Muriel Berkeley Innovation Fund.

Support Special Projects that Shape the Future

  • Hampstead Hill Academy Capital Improvement Project: During the construction of the Newstead gym, the old playground had to be removed, leaving students without a dedicated outdoor play space. The new playground will be a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that fosters physical activity, imaginative play, and overall student well-being. Fundraising for this exciting next phase is already underway, and we invite our community to join us in bringing this space to life.

Give to the Expansion Project.

  • Restoring Baltimore Passage: In 2006, award-winning Baltimore sculptor David Hess installed Baltimore Passage — a dramatic copper sculpture in Albemarle Square, just blocks from City Springs Elementary / Middle School. BCP has submitted a grant to the Maryland State Arts Council to help fund the restoration. Additional donations are needed from community members and art lovers like you to return Baltimore Passage to its former glory. As part of the project, City Springs students will explore the history and meaning of Baltimore Passage and other public art in their community—connecting art, education, and civic pride. Your gift will help restore this Baltimore treasure and inspire the next generation.

Give to the Baltimore Passage restoration.

Thank you for your generous support during the 30th anniversary of BCP!
