We continue our regular look at graduates of Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP) schools and the impact of their BCP education. This month, we talked with Henry Burger, a sophomore at Calvert Hall College, a Catholic, all-boys’ high school, about how his years in elementary and middle school at Hampstead Hill Academy shaped and inspired him.

CALVERT HALL COLLEGE

Class of 2028, in Communications Club

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE HAMPSTEAD HILL MEMORY?

“At HHA, I was on the soccer, baseball, and basketball teams. I also participated in the Science Olympiad club. My favorite memory was winning the 8th Grade Soccer Championship. I played right mid.”

HOW DID HAMPSTEAD HILL PREPARE YOU?

“HHA prepared me for Calvert Hall by teaching me how to manage my time and prepare appropriately for assessments. After graduation, I want to go to college and eventually work in aeronautics.”

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HIGH SCHOOL CLASS SO FAR?

“My favorite class freshman year was AP human geography. [It’s a college-level course that uses data, maps, and spatial patterns to examine human populations, their patterns, and interactions with the Earth’s surface.] I enjoyed studying how cities are organized. One interesting assessment was identifying all 193 United Nations countries on a map.”

Congratulations, Henry, on all you are accomplishing!
